Student Tips for Gradescope Bubble Sheets

Tips for Completing Gradescope Bubble Sheets

The tips below are recommended to ensure the most accurate feedback from Gradescope.

  1. Please use a pencil or pen with dark ink (black/dark blue) to ensure that your answers can be clearly read and processed when uploaded to Gradescope.
  2. Write your name and student ID number within the labelled regions and avoid letting letters dip below the box line if possible.

  1. Print your name clearly. Do not use cursive writing.

  1. Enter your name as it appears in CourseLink (visible in the top right corner).

Do not use shortened versions of your name or initials (e.g., if your name displays as Thomas James Brodie on CourseLink, do not write it as T.J. Brodie on the bubble sheet, even if that is what you go by in class).

  1. If you are provided an exam booklet with a specific version letter (A, B, C, D, or E), be sure to fill in the correct version bubble that corresponds to your version so that it is graded appropriately.

  1. When answering questions, fill in bubbles completely.

  1. Some questions may require you to fill in more than one bubble answer (e.g., “select all that apply” type questions). Your instructor may score questions with multiple answers in different ways, however no matter which scoring method is used, including any incorrect answer option will result in a zero for that question.
  2. If you change your mind and need to fill in another circle, fully erase the unwanted bubble (pencil) or cross it out with an X (pen) to make it clear that it is not the answer you selected.
